Skin tags are very common. They’re soft, benign growths that form on a thin “stalk” of skin. They’re extremely vascular and can appear on any part of the body—including the neck, groin, armpits, beneath the breasts, and on the eyelids. 

The eye is a complex structure containing many elements that work together to give us vision. We can break this down into four main areas: the parts outside the eyeball, the eye surface, the front of the eye, and the back.

By far the most common type of cataracts are the ones that form as we get older. Termed, age-related cataracts, these fall into three distinct categories.

Optic disc hemorrhage is a particular kind of internal bleeding within the delicate nerve tissues of the eye. It’s a very typical sign of glaucoma, although it can occur in other eye conditions as well. 

Glaucoma is a condition that causes pressure within the eye (the intraocular pressure, or IOP) to rise. If left unchecked, it causes damage to the delicate structures—most importantly, the optic nerve.

When you’re recovering from cataract surgery, you’ll be expected to use eyedrops during the recovery process. These drops have multiple roles—indeed, your surgeon might prescribe more than one or they may change after the first few weeks.
