Accessibility Statement
Last updated: January 12, 2023
West Boca Eye Center is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.
Our Standard and Goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide array of disabilities and more usable for everyone.
What We’re Doing
To support our commitment, we:
- Use semantic HTML, proper headings, labels, and alt text for meaningful images.
- Maintain color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG requirements.
- Support keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators.
- Provide descriptive link text and ARIA attributes where helpful.
- Review new content and components for accessibility prior to publishing.
- Conduct periodic audits using automated testing and manual review.
Current Status
Most portions of the site conform to WCAG 2.1 AA, and we are working on continuous improvements. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know so we can address it promptly.
Known Areas We’re Improving
- Ensuring legacy PDFs and documents are available in accessible formats upon request.
- Ongoing fine-tuning of form labels, error messaging, and aria-live announcements.
- Periodic review of third-party embeds (e.g., maps, videos) to provide accessible alternatives.

- Your preferred screen reader (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
Third-Party Content
Some content or functionality may be provided by third parties (e.g., embedded maps, video players, scheduling tools). While we cannot control their platforms, we work to provide accessible alternatives or assistance if you encounter barriers.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review feedback, run periodic audits, and update our processes as standards and technologies evolve. If you have suggestions for improvement, we’d love to hear them.
